About Me
Welcome to my website. I work as a counsellor, offering a sympathetic counselling service to individuals and I am based in Chelmer Village in Chelmsford, which is within easy reach of Romford and Colchester.I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
Prior to training as a counsellor I worked as a healthcare professional. For over ten years I practised within a local hospital as a Macmillan Nurse in Cancer and Palliative Care. This has provided me with an invaluable experience in working with those affected by cancer and other health related problems.
This experience enables me to offer specialised cancer counselling within my local area and also throughout Essex. I also gained extensive experience working with all types of loss and bereavement and how this impacts upon individuals and those close to them.
More About Me
I have been a practising counsellor in Chelmsford for several years working within an agency and a G.P. practice. As an experienced counsellor I now have established my own private practice and am ideally situated to provide counselling to those living within Romford, Chelmsford and Colchester area.I work with individuals, face to face, on an open-ended basis or for an agreed period of time. I do not offer advice but listen attentively to the client. In this way I can begin to understand the difficulties the client is experiencing from their perspective and help them see things more clearly enabling them to see it from another perspective. Counselling can open up a way for clients who feel stuck or unable to prevent repetitive behaviour which is unhelpful in their life.
